Ok just say it...i'm a ditzy blonde. I have an iMac, not used to the term, just trashed my hp "desktop". You're so right about hubby helping me with his "imac"! i thought if we got a mac, he would be able to show me more, or be more interested in computer at home, nooo way! I can understand though if you work on one all day, don't feel like coming home and doing same. At least that's how i try to look at it. He also says he doesn't know why the keyboard acts the way it does. I am going to call the apple store where we bought this computer and ask if they know why keyboard number keypad on right side doesn't work? It doesn't have a numbers lock key on key board. Most all keyboards do. Husband does say his pro he works on at work which i believe is a couple years old, has the number lock key, and his numbers do work on his, he is also confused. I guess it's a keyboard function that's strange though because i can hold down just the number 4 on right number pad and my curser turns and moves to the upper left, and when i hold down the number 1 it turns and goes down to the lower left. That's about all i have noticed it doing, besides sometimes which i haven't done lately, but when 1st got this toy, i used number keys w/o thinking not to, then it would lock up. Don't know if it was since pushing keys in certain order caused lock up, but haven't tried to do again, i would but think my 30 days is over for me to return to store. I'll call tonight and let you all in on this secret of theirs! In the mean time don't pout too much over lack of games to fight over, just work on figuring out all my questions.

Have you run software update lately? There was a keyboard firmware update recently that you should try.

Please refrain from typing everything in capitals. Correct spelling and grammar are always appreciated, as it helps us solve your problem more easily. Thanks.
Anyway, I highly suggest running software update as lonnie mentioned. The aluminum keyboards are the first ever Apple keyboard to need drivers to function, so I guess they are probably more susceptible to software bugs.
