Anyone got broken Mac stuff they want to get rid of? I'm not looking for anything specific... just something I can get my screwdriver into and play with/maybe fix.

Thanks,
Jason

I've got a semi-broken iPod Mini, but I'm still using it for a while, until I get another iPod. It restarts itself all the time, and sometimes I need to plug it in for it to turn on at all. The battery was replaced a while ago, so that might be it. Are you interested in it at all?

i have a video iPod with a cracked screen and no audio... it works fine and shows up in OS and iTunes but it was dropped in some water and after a few weeks of drying out, i only got audio... and then after attempting to do surgery myself, all i ended up with was a cracked screen... but you can have it if you want it...

I've wanted to use services like resq for fixing my broken nano screen myself, but I don't know if it will be hard. I hope not, because it is cheaper if I do it myself.

I'm also interested in some old broken hardware- I'll take anything you have.

Have a Ibook G3 that has a broken hinge that needs fixing. It also needs a battery but otherwise boots and works fine although it runs slow. Also, I have a 4 generation IPod that has a bad hard drive but have not been able to find the right type of drive here in Colorado. Let me know if you are interested. Take Care!

I think I'm interested as I haven't been able to tinker with anything for a while. Would paying for the shipping work for you, or what are you asking for them?

I have a 17" 1.33 GHz PowerBook that's got some minor liquid damage. By "minor" I mean there's a small light area on the LCD where it looks as if something got under the LCD or the screen panel. The optical drive no longer works and the keyboard is a bit "crunchy" but other than that it runs fine. I'm planning on swapping out the keyboard, optical and hard drive before I try to unload this as I'm replacing it wht a 15" MacBook Pro in a few weeks.

I'd like to pop this thing open and see just how bad it looks, if it's not too bad I may even try cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol.
