I just snagged myself a brand new MacBook Pro and thus no longer have a need for my beast of a G5. Sooo, I've got it up on eBay for sale.

Basic details are:
* Dual 2GHz PowerPC G5
* 5GB of RAM
* 250GB Hard Drive
* NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL (Dual-Screen capable)

At any rate, go check it out for the full details.

I'll take bets that the first thing mentioned in the write-up will be the volume, or lack there of? Not a single bet? Damn.

Seriously though, congrats on the new machine; I doubt you will regret it. I would love to make an offer but I think I am about whipped for this month, and we don't really need US machines at work (more hassle than it's worth to a business you know?). I'll ask around though.

Whoever's buying it is getting a heck of a deal, that's a really great machine especially with 5GB of RAM.

I would bid if I had money for it.

So Josh,

Now that you have moved to a MBP and have been using it for a while, do you like it better than your desktop rig? Are you using dual monitors with it? Has it changed the way that you work and play on your computer?

I am just curious to hear about your experience.

Unfortunately 'amazing deal' isn't exactly the phrase I wanted to go along with this.

Yea, that's true. That's always the risk of eBay unfortunately.

Actually if you look at the completed listings for Dual G5s you got a pretty good price. Even better since this was posted a couple months ago. I saw several Dual 2.5G that went for less than what you got. The G5, while still a great machine, is old technology these days.
