Hey There, How are you? Have another ? Is it true that you really do not need virus protection for a mac? Worried that we need one, but as usual, guess who says we do not? Got this computer since I kept hearing about how Mac's do this better and Mac's do that better, and now though haven't actually been showed all these things they do better. I agree that they're more advanced, and capable of handling awesome graphics, but again, I feel I could work on this computer all day, and still not know all I should or would like to know. Am considering just taking those classes at the Mac Store. Husband may not need them, but I would like to take them. I'm learning so much on my own, but takes time. Some things my husband is not aware of, I think because he's been working on one for around 17 years and has gotten used to the what he needs as he updates when buying new computers for work. I think you said that the imac is better to have than the pro, he agreed with what you said about the pro not being as expandable? What ever it was that you or someone on this site commented on the PROMAC VS. the IMAC My husband did agree with ya. He needs to get on here and ask questions for himself, then maybe you can mention to him to help his wifie understand his new toy!hahaha
I really am learning more everyday, and do love this computer VS. PC.

Also wondering why with PC's they are always updating the whole operating system? I had Windows Me on last computer when I bought it, but updated to XP. When updating it's not the same as having all of the system that comes with a new PC. It seems like that's Microsoft's way of really wanting you to purchase a new computer, instead of just updating. I also heard that some have had problems with Windows Vista. That now if buying a new PC, you can opt to either have XP on a PC, instead of Vista. So, with all that said, I'm so glad we now have a Mac, with it's own operating system. What a mess. Don't understand why those with new Mac would want to download windows too. These computers have plenty of downloads to work with and many of the common downloads for PC's are now available on Mac's.

Hi There= So you have the imac? I'm loving this thing just have new stuff to learn, coming from a PC owner for years. Glad I found this site, am learning new things everyday, but have many cheat sheets close by. I love photography and this is best computer for downloading then working in photoshop to enhance photos. Would love to take more classes inn digital photography, it's just ever changing. The keyboard commands are awesome, and if those who have an Apple would first learn how to use those commands, I believe learning from there on other more advanced options may be easier?? Well, I'll be tuning in as much as possible, learning as fast as possible, to hopefully be of help to other newcomers, but...it may be a while!
    thanks-Kat
