(I guess a little off the main topic but...) I used to be a die hard user of NewsFire but couldn't get past having to constantly switch between news reader & browser all the time. Plus I use more than 1 Mac & not been able able to sync which feeds I'd read (plus no sign of any updates or news of any updates) drove me to ditch it months ago.

I now use Newshutch (web news reader) & think it's great, I've used it ever since.
I recently tried out NetNewsWire out of curiosity & thought it was excellent (especially the syncing between computers & thumbnail sidebar), but I'm really happy with Newshutch so saw no reason to switch.

Maybe NewsFire 2 will be a real killer app I dunno? But if some of the key features aren't definitely confirmed yet then it sounds like it'll be quite a while until it's released. It's not something I'm eagerly awaiting. One thing I do know is plenty of people begrudge lining DW's pockets
